Nine Unassuming Fetishes

Lately I've been fascinated by fetishes. Not just any fetish. The type that you could show to anyone, and when they're told that its a fetish, its just creepy. The type that only a select few can get off on. This list will help clarify things.

EAR FETISH

I forgot exactly where I read it, in Japan, a mother or wife would pick one's ears with your head on her lap. Its done by someone who has an intimate relationship with you. So its understandable how intimacy becomes sex becomes ears.

CROOKED TEETH FETISH

Maybe this is more of a preference than a fetish. But if you're in a country where most people don't have braces and most of the women you've been attracted to in your life have crooked teeth, then this might become a preference.

SNEEZING FETISH

Let's presume that some people have slightly different nerves than others. And let's say that physical stimuli could become sexual stimuli. Okay, I'll give em that.

GLASSES FETISH

I have this fetish/preference.

GIANTESS CRUSHING STUFF FETISH

Except for the hotpants, I understand none of this.

HICCUP FETISH

See SNEEZE FETISH

KIGURUMI

there's something aesthetically pleasing about this. Sometimes I'd rather see a cosplayer wear anime masks instead of their faces. But the unfortunate side of kigurumi is that it usually involves a middle aged man dressed up as his favorite anime girl. sort of achieving a oneness with the fictitious character.

It would be a beautiful concept IF IT WASN'T SO DAMNED CREEPY!!!

EYE PATCH/BANDAGE FETISH

I assume it has to do with S&M.

A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA

FURRIES

I've heard there's some sort of tactile sensation and the idea of being an animal. But....yeah.... I don't understand.

A poll taken of Japanese fetishes

Some seem more like preferences to me.

Since most my family is in Bohol, I thought I'd put this up. Its a "nature reserve" (someones backyard) with a giant python and a girl (cross-dresser) as your tour guide. The first & last time I went here I was jetlagged, tired, confused and amused.

UA (pronounced "ooh-ah") is this pop singer from japan. Her music is pretty eclectic. She started a children's show some years ago, so kids could learn Japanese children's songs.

...but damn!

She's exposing kids to some pretty sophisticated sounds. Those kids are lucky.

--and the parrot look works for her.

According to the New York Times, "The Grass-Mud Horse" is a mythical creature whose name in Chinese sounds like "f*ck your mother". Literally, lyrics are very harmless, but its actually a subversive song reacting to Chinese censorship (or "harmony").

"Things I've been posting on Facebook" dump

As a blogger, I've been holding out on you. If you're on facebook, please join the Theory of Everything Comics Group because I'm not going to add you as a friend. (Really, I'm trying to reserve facebook for people I've met and relatives I haven't-- although a few fans have gotten in before I made this rule.) Anyway:

DEAR SWEET GANESHA!!!!

This will NEVER catch on!

Elmo, do you know what necrophilia is?

This is what happens when you abandon a liturgical tradtion.

Please stop. Just stop. You don't seem to get it. Really, I'm not saying that because I'm part of a heretical sect. Making things like this is exactly why Jesus hasn't come back.

To Have Two Vaginas.

"Smile" is a Jdrama about a half-Filipino, half-Japanese man who is caught up in the racism of the Japanese legal system. I first heard about this show because my favorite musician sang the theme.... now there's Filipino in it?!! I'll have to catch up on this later.

The fact that a black woman is singing a Korean song really well is a sign of our modern times. And she's pretty hot.... as well as the original performers of this song.

Okay, hot Korean girls is a good way to end it.

Shizuko Kasagi - Queen of Boogie

From JapanNewbie

Shizuko Kasagi was known as the “Queen of Boogie” 「ブギの女王」 in postwar Japan. She was born in Kanagawa but moved to Osaka with her family not long after she was born, which is the reason that she could speak Kansai dialect.

I first heard this song, pre-youtube, synced to a really cool piece of traditional animation. Now I have a better sense of where it came from.

There's also been covers of this song. The previous link, I like the band but the vocalist is much too nice. Shizuko Kasagi sounds like she's seen tough times and that she could out drink you.

The best back scratcher

Okay, shirtless old man with a missing tooth, scratching himself with a toilet brush... this makes perfect sense to me. In fact, I can accept that this could very well be my future.

But when it gets to 00:42 (it had to be 42, huh).... it gets brilliantly strange.

These videos make me want to go to the bathroom.

This one is a bit abrasive with the translations. Although, I did see one of these toilets in the Philippines when I was..."in trouble" and thought "WTF?"

There must be a problem training children to use the restroom if you gotta make toys about it.

I really want to see the costumed version of this character show me how to use the bathroom.

It's like Elementary School all over again!

Really?! How is this NOT stupid? I mean, its not like there aren't any Chinese in Spain (I know at least one), do you try this shit in front of them.
(Actually, I could imagine some restaurant owner tolerating this because its a regular customer.)

Let's remember. These are athletes, not ambassadors.

Angry Asian Man does this blogging about the Olympic Spanish Basketball Team better than me. He also has better pics.

Mind you, I think when its done properly, racism can be really funny, entertaining and insightful. I mean, I'll use racist asian jokes-- cuz I can get away with it.

...in theory.

In Memory of Lyla Lei

Remember, this IS "Theory of Everything Comics" and everything meaning, everything I find amusing. And this is a comic, and I feel that I haven't put up enough comics stuff lately. (And I'm considering making the comics menu into the index page again, but that doesn't have much to do with anything.)

This is an amateur comic done by a former adult film star. It sort of reminds me of Silly Daddy in its book form. (In style and verve, not content-- OBVIOUSLY.)

It's rather interesting to see how the manga/anime style is becoming prevalent in American Visual Language. And how she identifies with the super hero motif of the alter ego with her personal and work life.

(Plus there's sex and sexuality, of course. Everyone's interested in that--even if they pretend not to. Plus the adult film industry is pretty interesting. Just the fact that it creates all this fantasy and amorality yet all in all its just a business and its just work for these performers. Plus something I learned from an ex-girlfriend who did make-up at a shoot: three parts water + one part mayonnaise (or vice versa)... well I'm just glad its fake.)

I'd like to see more adventures about Lyla Lei leaving the adult film industry.

PS. Yes I was bored looking at girls on myspace. I wasn't intentionally looking for porn.
